Safety, environmental performance, and commitment to our community, are key areas for SIA members individually and collectively.
- Safety | Our focus on safety is unwavering, and we are working hard to ensure our record is maintained. As our communities grow, we continue to promote appropriate development of lands nearest to industry. New risk management tools are available to make sure that safe and responsible land use planning takes place in the area. We will do our part to educate and encourage our elected officials to consider the use of these tools that will result in a safer community.
- Environment | Our environment committee continues to share best practices for environmental monitoring and we are proud of our record to date. We will continue working together to ensure that we maintain and improve our performance.
- Community | The third priority is our commitment and contribution to the community. While we provide substantial community support through municipal taxes and employment, we also reach out to the community through the Community Awareness Emergency Response (CAER) program. Our newsletter, phone number 780 429-CAER, the UPDATEline 1-866-653-9959, the website, and CAER Fairs are all ways we provide information to, and hear from, our neighbours.
